(de \"Onderneming\"; \"Kingfish\"; OSE: KING), een pionier en leider op het gebied van duurzame productie van yellowtail kingfish op het land, publiceert haar Q4 2024 trading update.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p11\">Kingfish sloot het jaar sterk af met een verkoopvolume van 556 ton in het vierde kwartaal van 2024, dankzij de sterke vraag tijdens de feestdagen en een goed uitgevoerde go-to-market-aanpak. De groei in zowel de retail- als foodservicekanalen bereikte nieuwe niveaus in vergelijking met voorgaande jaren. De opbrengst per kg daalde echter tot \u20ac13,4, als gevolg van seizoensgebonden promoties en de noodzaak om meer kleine vis te verkopen om de biomassa aan te passen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p11\">Voor het eerst in de geschiedenis van het bedrijf overschreden de verschepingen voor het volledige jaar de 2.000 ton, een mijlpaal in het groeitraject. De geoogste volumes voor het vierde kwartaal van 2024 bedroegen in totaal 586 ton, met een netto biomassagroei van 641 ton. Tegen het einde van het jaar bedroeg de staande biomassa 1.118 ton. Zoals beschreven in het persbericht van 15 januari 2025, werkte de kwekerij boven het optimale biomassaniveau. Om hier iets aan te doen, startte Kingfish een biomassareductieplan om de staande biomassa in de komende 4 tot 6 maanden terug te brengen tot ongeveer 800-900 ton. Deze biomassa is voldoende om te voldoen aan de verkoopprognose voor 2025 en de vermindering zal de biologische prestaties verbeteren en de productiekosten verlagen. Deze eenmalige aanpassing zal resulteren in een afwaardering van de voorraad in de financi\u00eble cijfers van Q4 2024, maar zal de kasstroom niet wezenlijk be\u00efnvloeden.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p11\">Sinds januari 2023 is de uitgebreide en gemoderniseerde Nederlandse broederij volledig operationeel en positioneert Kingfish zich als wereldleider op het gebied van kweek- en broederijtechnologie voor geelstaartkoningvissen. De vierde generatie broeddieren van de faciliteit bereikte een belangrijke mijlpaal in het vierde kwartaal van 2024 door zes maanden eerder dan gepland de eerste eieren te produceren. Gezien de grote productiecapaciteit en technische mogelijkheden van de broederij in Nederland, heeft Kingfish besloten om de wereldwijde broederij-activiteiten te concentreren in de vestiging in Zeeland. Deze strategische stap zorgt ervoor dat de toekomstige Amerikaanse activiteiten kunnen profiteren van de geavanceerde mogelijkheden van de Nederlandse broederij, met behoud van de hoge normen voor kwaliteit, effici\u00ebntie en kostenoptimalisatie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p11\">Het Amerikaanse uitbreidingsplan, inclusief de voorgestelde Jonesport kwekerij in Maine, blijft ongewijzigd en wacht op de definitieve uitkomst van het laatste beroep.
